Among the vineyards, close to beautiful private courtyards, opposite rich, verdant greenery, is a romantic, luxurious, B&B vacation rental complex with a wading pool, a beautiful view, and the peaceful quiet of the mountains. Painter and artist Efraim, with Miriam's assistance, established Kerem Dudim, suites that stand out from the norm. A pleasant and romantic design with fine, minimalistic lines, and a wonderful connection between indoors and outdoors.
Kerem Domid in a deep settlement
In art as in art - there is no such thing as there is no such thing. And when an artist chooses to express his talent, his vision and his worldview through the establishment of a B&B, the result is unexpected, intriguing and surprising. Such is the "Kerem Davidim" B&B in a deep settlement.
This complex is full of a storm of emotions, vibrant colors, unique styles and cultural influences from East and West. The structure is built in a surrealistic, almost impossible way, surrounded by visual stories interwoven with many unusual details, rich in plenty of contrasts that are put together with playful courage full of a smile and above all - imbued with a lively, cheerful and creative spirit.
And this spirit belongs to Ephraim and Miriam - a couple of veteran hosts who over the years manage to maintain innocence, joy of life and eternal youth. The bewitching, magical atmosphere of the unique suite in "Kerem Davidim" invites adventurous guests - not the kind of bungee jumpers - but those looking for an opportunity for a fascinating journey into a different, original and special world, just like Alice in Wonderland.
But in addition to the artistic aspect, in which "Kerem Davidim" excels, this place has plenty of romance, nature and indulgences. Inspired by the "Song of Songs" - from which the name of the Zimmer is taken - the hosts created here a sensual atmosphere, imbued with intimacy, poetics and nature - alive, juicy, breathing. The element of water is expressed here in the lovely wading pool.
Green vineyards, tropical vegetation, well-invested gardens, shady Hamad corners merge here, in the unconventional depth, with the wild Birya forests (above Safed) as the views of the Galilee mountains wrap around the place like a luxurious frame for an impressionistic picture.
Already from the entrance to the "Kerem Davidim" complex, you can observe the round and tall central building "peeking" through tropical vegetation, vines and fruit trees. The two-level tower with a colorful dome perched on top, made of bricks, stone and wood - is the kind of "palaces" that children dream about at night - colorful, happy, built in different and strange shapes - and surprisingly beautiful in a special way.
"Kerem Davidim" is located on the ground floor of a 2-story building.
The Kerem Davidim suite is an original work, full of unique items, built by Ephraim according to his artistic vision. On a warm parquet floor stands an extra large four-poster bed made of carved wood, a living room corner made of round couches in front of a beautiful table made of carved wood.
The entertainment corner includes an LCD screen and a cinema system, in front of rustic shooting chairs. The kitchen combines bricks and unique woodwork that creates one visual unit with a work surface and a bar table. Plenty of art details are scattered around the place, some decorative, such as a female statue in the kitchen area and some with daily use - such as a spectacular light fixture hanging from the ceiling, which in addition to an electric light bulb carries a multitude of scented candles or oil wicks. To my surprise, it turned out that this huge ceiling lamp was made from a wooden wheel of an ancient cart...
An antique fireplace, in the Art Deco style from 1905, a delight to the eyes of antique lovers (like me) and no less important - a particularly effective guest heart-warmer. Small round light openings in the ceiling create a dreamy, mysterious, almost magical lighting here. And thick, heavy curtains, which will ensure perfect darkness, add to the space a rich, juicy and somewhat royal aspect.
A jacuzzi is in an adjacent room that combines a bathroom and a balcony wrapped in vines. The colorful design is based on stained glass, unique flooring, plays of light and shadow. Outside - balcony - garden with chaise longues and picnic areas overlooking the landscape.
In conclusion:
In the "Kerem Davidim" B&B, art meets romance, nature embraces human creation, joy accompanies adventure and couples in love suddenly discover that the Song of Songs was written about them...
