Imagine that you are sitting on a private terrace, verdant nature before you, a luxurious B&B vacation rental behind you. While sipping a refreshing soft drink that Perry will most likely serve you in summer, you are asked to turn your head to the east, to the green cliffs, from which you hear the sound of splashing waterfalls. Now try to remember where you are…yes, you're in Israel.
How many B&Bs do you know that sit right above three waterfalls?
On a bright sunny morning we arrived at "On the Falls". As they are. The three well-kept units of Perry and Menasha Strack in Metula, sit right above the waterfalls of the oven, the mill and Eyon and you can actually hear the sound of the falling water from the pergolas adjacent to the units. In winter you hear the fall louder than in summer, but the waterfall is a solid waterfall and never dry. The feeling is simply foreign.
Perry and Menashe came to the area following the family and soon discovered the tourist potential of the place.
They fell in love with God's small plot, one dunam in size, bordered by waterfalls. In 1998 they fulfilled their love and bought the area and after a few years inaugurated the complex which includes three accommodation units.
The units are built of stone, inside there are two thin levels of pine wood, separated by two steps. The upper level is used for sleeping and access to the mosaic encrusted bathroom and the lower one hosts a breakfast table, with leather upholstered chairs, a jacuzzi and a changing area. Part of the flooring is made of high-quality Mitzpe marble, while the bathroom has a delicate mosaic floor in light colors.
All the furniture is made of Goshani oak wood, which was made by hand, by the woodworker Michal Ben Mashali from "The Fifth Tree". The bed is offered with embroidered stan or full cotton bedding.
In the units, special lighting was installed from the "Chandelaria" in Jaffa. The lighting adapted to the place, is designed in delicate brass work and is very suitable for the romantic jacuzzi which also receives the light of the candles. The meticulous design touches can be seen in everything and even the choice of dinnerware has been thought through: the delicate dinnerware is made of porcelain designed in a romantic style. To complete the atmosphere - the wall is decorated with original paintings, made by Perry's sister.
The units are equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. Air conditioning and central heating, home theater system, movie library, LCD TV located in the center of the suite on a rotating screen that allows viewing at three hundred and sixty degrees. The Belgian windows facing the waterfall or the orchard are equipped with electric shutters.
The designed bathroom is inlaid with mosaics, luxurious bathrobes hang on the wall and are waiting to wrap you when you leave, the kitchen is equipped with a mini bar, refrigerator, microwave and kettle.
Perry likes to spoil her guests. You may be surprised to receive a cherry vishnyak, made by Menashe, or a plate of cold watermelon. If your soul desires a herbal tea, in the yard next to the units you will find spice plants. You can also enjoy the nearby apple orchard and cherry trees.
The rich breakfasts are recommended to be arranged in advance with Perry - then it will be served to you straight to the suites. There is also an option for dairy dinners
And there is the possibility of organizing the suites for happy events such as birthdays, anniversaries, marriage proposals, bachelorette parties, etc. Just ask - the hosts are very happy to cooperate with special requests.
In the area there is a large selection of recommended sites to visit such as: the Canada Center for Ice Surfing (guests receive a discounted ticket to the center), Menara Cliff, the Tel-Hai Photography Museum, Nahal Ayon Reserve, quality restaurants and more. The Hula Reserve and many other nature reserves such as the Hermon site are nearby and the Banias is just a touch away.
Ilan and Perry will be happy to recommend you other entertainment places in the area.
Imagine you are sitting on the private balcony, green nature surrounds you. While sipping a refreshing lemonade drink that Perry will surely serve you in the summer, you are asked to glance east, towards the green ridge, from where comes the sound of falling waterfalls. Now try to remember where you are...
