360 degrees of rare beauty
We liked it
Exceptional architectural construction and interior design, breathtaking views, completely isolated in nature, the complex is accessible to people with disabilities.
We noticed that
No fires are allowed in the compound area.
An architecturally designed home isolated within a natural forest, situated high above a panoramic mountain view, and a private entrance to a nature reserve - Matat Galil is an unconventional place by any standard.
Location and ambience
Welcome to Matat Galil - a completely secluded and private home on the edge of the Matat settlement, located in the heart of Horesh Alonim. At Matat Galil, they have taken the word "luxury" to other realms, ones that blend well with the nature that spreads out at your feet and enhance it. The design of the complex is super meticulous down to the last detail, the view - surrounds you from every corner in 360 degrees, expands the heart and all the senses, the most luxurious and advanced facilities there are, and the space - endless.
The house is revealed as we descend the stone path that runs through the trees and vegetation. After we passed the door, for a moment we didn't understand what we were seeing. The door behind us hints to us that we are already inside, but the view that opens before us tells a different story - here the outside is the inside.
What does the place include
The gift of a roll is designed like we've never seen before - transparent exterior walls made of double glass that bring nature inside, and a high wooden ceiling that blends with them and creates an open space that is truly open in every direction.
In the center of the space is the living room area, which has a sofa that just by looking at it you can imagine how soft it is, and in front of it is a TV screen with O-Led technology. The beauty continues into the bedroom, which is also surrounded by green landscapes, so you will wake up here to a breathtaking view. The bed is wide and offered in soft and luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets.
The bathroom can be accessed either from inside the house or directly from the balcony - the design line, the precise choice of materials, the natural light that dominates everything - simply makes it a pleasant space in itself.
You will also find a kitchenette here suitable for light cooking with a dining table next to it, and a small refrigerator with pleasant surprises.
The highlight of Matat Galil (at least on this floor of it) is a dreamy terrace facing the panoramic view. A huge and very luxurious spa jacuzzi sits facing the open view that dominates the entire northwest line: from the sea line on the horizon and beyond to the wide forest hills. Here you can enjoy seating areas facing this beauty, and sip a glass of fine local wine, which the hosts prepare from their private vineyard.
In the yard surrounding the house, stone paths wind through the trees, creating plenty of shade even on hot summer days. What looks like a natural ecological spring here invites you to take a cool dip. Not far away, you will notice a mysterious gate that leads straight into the woods to hiking trails in the Mount Matat Nature Reserve, so it is recommended to bring hiking shoes.
A path that descends around the house reveals another space (which is actually the lower floor of the place), which includes an area designated for spa treatments with two beds where you can enjoy a pampering couples massage, along with fitness equipment (it seems to us that the correct order is to work out first and then pamper yourself).
At the top of the complex you will find a huge Finnish sauna, and next to it a bathroom built using a combination of stone and natural materials (these can be used by prior arrangement).
You should know
When you arrive, the host will drive you (and your luggage) to the house in an electric vehicle.
It is possible to book a private chef for the venue.
In winter, underfloor heating is available here.
For the religious public - you can order a strictly kosher breakfast, there is no synagogue within walking distance/Shabbat plate.
Dogs are not allowed.
We left with a feeling of
This is an extraordinary complex in every way - the location is rare, the view is stunning, the building materials are original, and the design is meticulous and perfectly in tune with the outdoors. If you love special places as much as you love nature, Matat Galil is the complete experience.

Pure enjoyment and pleasure
We really enjoyed the design of the villa. The place took care of every detail imaginable and of the highest quality. Everything is planned and designed with good taste!!. Lots of nice equipped and furnished corners including a gym and 2 treatment beds. The location is perfect and overlooks a spectacular view!! Sharon - the manager and owner of the place - just a lovely special personality!! We are already planning to go back for another dream vacation.. and this time for three days.

amazing amazing amazing
Wow.... there are no words to describe this amazing experience. everything is perfect !!! Enjoyed every moment. The B&B is well-equipped and stylish, with attention to the last detail. Looks even more beautiful than the pictures. The jacuzzi with the view is crazy. Crazy view, and a lot of privacy. Sharon received us nicely, provided us with particularly indulgent breakfasts. And in general, there were lots and lots of treats waiting for us at the lodge, among other things, really, really delicious wine, which they prepared. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience!!! For sure we will come back again.
