Yavne'el is a settlement located in the Lower Galilee, not far from the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan River, and close to many archaeological and historical sites. The road to Restiruk passes along a dirt road that reveals nothing about what we will eventually discover - a secret complex in the center of which are two intriguing B&Bs with large windows and tiled roofs, surrounded by a large lawn. The B&Bs have stylish pools, one built of stone, and the other surrounded by a rough, narrow platform. All around us, a mountainous landscape and a row of olive trees look out at us, telling us that we can feel comfortable, because we are alone here.
Don't expect to find a meticulous complex from an interior design catalog here. This is the brainchild of the host, who engineered, built, and designed the B&Bs with his own hands. The dominant motif here is rustic roughness - the floor is concrete, the design items are recycled, and the recurring motif here is rust (don't worry, it's coated and protected with lacquer) - from which the host has loved to create unconventional, postmodern art for over 30 years.
There are two completely separate B&Bs here, within walking distance of each other. Each has its own privacy and yard, with a view overlooking the hills, and full of atmosphere that creates a different hospitality experience.
Restyrock Boutique
The house is perfectly divided into four spaces - the fully equipped kitchen space, which contains a large refrigerator, electric stove, an intimate double dining area, and a window with a view that is fun to cook in front of. In a separate space you will find the living room, which has a comfortable and beautiful sofa, a wooden coffee table and a TV, and in the third space is the bedroom with a luxurious double bed embedded in a wide wooden base, from which you can go out to the balcony and enjoy all the beauty that awaits you outside.
And what awaits you there? A beautiful, oval-shaped wading pool set on a deck with direct access from the bedroom, next to it a luxurious jacuzzi, wide lawns, olive trees (183, but who's counting) and lots and lots of spice.
Rustyrock House
Within walking distance of the first house, there is another B&B that tells a similar story. It has two bedrooms with double beds, and is suitable for a couple with up to two children. The bedrooms are bright and exude a pleasant simplicity. One of them has direct access to the pool and the view, so you can start the day with a super refreshing dip before you even say "good morning." In the living room you will find a wide and fun sofa bed. A coffee table that was once a door and has undergone professional conversion is located next to it. There is also a large TV with an advanced audio system - definitely a surprising technological twist in relation to the overall vibe. From the living room there is a door leading to an intimate balcony with a cozy coffee table by the pool.
When you want to cook, you can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with a comfortable island in the center. The bathroom here is one of the most unique we've seen, surrounded by glass windows and full of plants. The walls and vanity are made of natural stone, and it's full of attention and creativity.
And what's going on in the yard?
On one side there is a paved outdoor area with various types of seating areas, including a picnic table enjoying the shade of a tree. On the other side, facing the view, is a rounded plunge pool, built of natural stone and inviting for a refreshing dip. Next to it is a pampering jacuzzi, a lawn and a cute coffee corner (the one you can also go to from the living room) with a view that is fun to savor with an afternoon drink.
