A complex that takes you the farthest, and closest to the center
There aren't many complexes like this, I think to myself as I finish the visit to the "Heart of the Carmel Estate" in Kerem Maharal. And I'm not just talking about the relative proximity to the central area that allows those who want a little jump abroad 40 minutes away from Tel Aviv. I'm talking about the fact that this place is definitely foreign in terms of the standard of construction, thinking and design. The location itself is crazy, on a hill that looks far away towards open fields and green mountains. There is an amazing mini-villa here designed for a couple who wants to find themselves inside the cover of a design magazine, And another 4 intimate, designed and beautiful suites that also take advantage of the abundance that nature and the hosts have given to this special place.
Kerem Maharal is a beautiful settlement located between Zichron Yaakov and Atlit, on the slopes of Carmel. 40 minutes drive from Tel Aviv and 15 minutes drive from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. This location allows you to enjoy all the worlds. I arrive at the complex, and find 4 suites located down the hill, But the big surprise is waiting for me in a separate complex, its name is a modern villa for one couple, and if you ask me, you could film a TV series here. The guest house is in the upper part of the complex and there is plenty of parking.
I will of course start with the "Palace", which is in a nearby complex and separate from the suite complex. As soon as I enter the complex, I understand that I have reached a place that is "the end of the road." Beyond the location, right in front of the view, this is a building that is the fulfillment of all fantasies, with planning, design and fittings at the highest levels. This is a modern and spacious mini-villa designed for one couple only, with a huge living space that includes a large and fully equipped kitchen that allows for full cooking, a large dining area, and a living room with a large and comfortable sofa in the shape of a half moon that stands in space in front of a breathtaking view, as if from a poster. The bedroom is large, beautiful and also overlooks the view, with an LCD screen and a variety of storage solutions. The large bathroom has a standing tub with a crazy high-heeled design ("I don't have a logical explanation, I just wanted it" the hostess Gigit tells me). Yes, there is also a great shower and enclosed toilet.
From the living room, which also contains a bar with alcohol and a huge 70" TV, you go out to a spacious and high balcony with a panoramic view that starts with the huge swimming pool and ends somewhere in the green fields and the mountains behind them. In order to reach the swimming pool (not heated) you have to go down to the lower level of the complex which is all yours.
In a separate complex, as mentioned, there are four more suites: the entrance to the "Moroccan suite" is through a path that runs along the side of the guest house, on the highest level. I arrive at the built courtyard of the suite, which contains a beautiful heated swimming pool overlooking the magnificent view. Although the unit is adjacent to the "Roman Hall" suite by a common wall, the design makes it hard to feel it visually. A stunning door with copper carvings leads to the suite, and we will immediately discover a design world rich in Moroccan motifs in every corner. It seems that there is not a single point here that the design is Passover: the flooring and the painted kitchen tiles, the upholstered headboard, the arched windows, the special curtains. Some of the items, the host Gitti tells me, came directly from Morocco. The oriental colors embedded in the various items certainly provide the necessary atmosphere. In the space there is a designed sitting area, an equipped kitchenette and a comfortable dining area, a jacuzzi facing the view and a double bed. There is also a shower and closed toilets.
The "Roman Hall" suite is inspired by the temples of Rome. The design includes many columns, headers and cornices in shades of cream and gold. The suite is located next to the "Moroccan suite" in a common wall, but the privacy is excellent. This is a luxurious suite with 8 bedrooms and a separate living room, a large bed (1.8 width) and a fully equipped kitchen. Inside the suite there is a double jacuzzi. On the large balcony, in front of the wonderful view, there is a private pool (7x2.5).
The "Dream in White" suite is similar in size to the "Moroccan" and the entrance to this suite is from the lower level with 12 steps. I go up and reach a private balcony, with a sitting area waiting opposite. In an excellent location I also found a private jacuzzi spa. I enter a well-organized space: a sitting area, a well-equipped kitchenette, a dining counter, an open jacuzzi and bathroom sink, and a sleeping space. In addition, there is a shower and closed toilets. The design lines here are very clean in light and pleasant tones, with very good privacy despite sharing a wall with the "Tuscany" suite.
"Tuscany" is a suite designed as a small palace of the French royal family. The design starts with the special furniture in bright red and gold colors, continues with the crystal chandeliers and the velvet curtains that give the special atmosphere. The suite is adjacent to the "Dream in White" suite by a common wall, but the privacy is excellent.
Inside the suite are two bedrooms, each with double beds (1.40 meters). The bathroom is shared by both rooms with a massage shower. The central space contains a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. In the private balcony complex there is a huge jacuzzi (2 x 3) with a sound system and TV.
This mansion is an example of an uncompromising resort, and proves that even in Israel you can find super special things. I predict great success for it because it has a combination of solutions both in "regular" suites and in a palace that is no less than a modern palace, and all this in a great location, facing the landscape, in peace and quiet, and only 40 minutes from the center. A place that is an experience, with a hostess who does not compromise on anything less than a perfect vacation.
