"Yirok Zeit is a complex that expresses the best of all worlds: the rural vacation - right in front of a pastoral olive grove, quietly, calmly and in the good air, and on the other hand - the luxurious vacation - with an endless list of accessories, and with a design full of character, pleasant and high-quality that speaks of the great investment that has been made here. Take for example the charming patio in "Mashul Kerem": it is a real gem with a private pool, seating areas, and abundant vegetation hanging on Wood and bamboo walls. You'll likely spend a lot of time in this cozy space, and that's exactly what the owners intended..." [From the words of the critic, Liza Amoyel]
Advantages and disadvantages - a review from the field There are 2 beautiful suites here: a large one with 2 bedrooms and a romantic double one. They express the good taste of Roit, the hostess, who knows how to combine modern elegant design with a lively rustic design, and the talent of her husband, Kfir, an original inspired ironsmith, whose works are "planted" nobly inside and outside. Kafir is also responsible for the construction of the light-filled complex, which has high ceilings with wooden and metal beams. And if you are curious and take a look at his workshop located at the entrance to the complex, you will discover a challenging structure that would surely tempt any avant-garde film director.
Location and ambience
The location: vacation in the village
A short drive from the center (an hour and a bit play one Leonard Cohen album), and you've already arrived in a softer world. A world where birds migrate and fields change color according to the season: welcome to the Jezreel Valley, let the views of the Gilboa enchant you. And if you drive another 25 minutes, the Sea of Galilee will also appear before your eyes.
Kfar Yehezkel, close to Ein Harod National Park, is one of the typical old moshavim, the ones that haven't changed much since their establishment (1921) but knew how to keep the authentic atmosphere and age gracefully. When you cross the Moshav, pay attention to the sides of the road for the agricultural facilities of the past, covered in rust and vegetation, some still in use, some not, and all of them blend into the landscape in a nostalgic pioneer spirit.
After a short drive on the main road you will reach the Wolinsky family compound via a dirt road that splits in two to lead to the two suites and the guest house - located close enough to serve you quickly, but far enough to maintain privacy.
The complex: clean lines with a rustic touch
In the compound, this is one of the few farms in the settlement whose agricultural area is adjacent to a residential house - so that fields spread around it, and olive groves mark it. In season, they will offer you to pick olives and even guide you in their preparation - the rest of the time, you can only eat them, along with other delicacies that are waiting to sweeten your vacation - and not just the rich breakfast about which we have heard rave reviews.
The host's garden includes a pleasantly manicured lawn, a trampoline and a basketball facility for guests to use, and tulips grow along the fences and walls.
It is worth noting that this is still an agricultural estate, and if you really insist, you can see in the neighboring yards a greenhouse, or an occasional warehouse, which in our opinion only enhances the luxurious experience from inside the complex.
The suite - rural quality at its best
The "Mash'ul HaKerem" suite includes 2 bedrooms, one of them with an extra bed, a dining area and a living room adjacent to a very nice kitchen where you can cook. In front of the villa, a small square with ornamental corners, a "deck" with a swing and a fish pond.
Without a doubt the most favorite area here is a magical patio at the entrance of the apartment, with a private pool, sitting areas, and abundant vegetation on bamboo walls. You will likely spend a lot of time in this cozy space. The jacuzzi is tucked inside the Naima bathroom - a smart idea for cultivating intimacy in a large suite.
The "Olive Vineyard" suite resides in one bright and expanded space. The "thin" terrace has comfortable sunbeds, and a picturesque landscape frame and the chirping of the birds envelop the private (and heated) pool in an absolute vacation atmosphere. Inside - the same caressing atmosphere, a lot of white, and a lot of style - starting with the parquet floor, the wooden beams of the ceiling and the wall made of recycled pallet wood.
Everything else meets the strictest requirements in terms of comfort and design: modern Italian elegance, in which unique decorative accessories are sprinkled throughout, such as the vintage telephone on the bookcase, or baroque style mirrors, in the room and in the shower. The jacuzzi also found its perfect place, at the end of the room, surrounded by delicate ceramic walls. Every detail here serves a taste of hospitality with a safe and charming character, like the hosts.
the hosts
Ruit recently returned from a design trip in Madrid. This says quite a bit about her and explains the meaning of the near-perfect design of the suites. But her love story for interior design began much earlier and she is responsible for the design of several of the most graceful boutique shops and homes in the area. She is elegant, warm and smiling - that is, very similar to her compound. Add to it a huge agricultural husband with skilled hands and good eyes and you will get the warm and beautiful solidity of the olive green hosts and their compound.
In conclusion: perhaps it would be better if we quote Haim Hefer, from "Hen Pazh":
Autumn is already blowing in your leaves
The dust on the roads slowly settled
And today only for you we burn
and dreaming of a distant meeting
So if you wanted a meeting far away, but close enough and very, very comfortable and supportive - "Olive Green" is definitely a worthy place for that. From our point of view, as a guide to the high-quality vacation spots in Israel, this special complex already has a place of honor.
